Optional: Satin ribbon, choice of color, (red with white hearts) 7/8″ wide x 1 yd. length

Glue Gun

  1. Follow Water Bead package instructions to add water. (Takes about six hours to fully expand.)
  2. In the meantime, use scissors to cut the Diamond Wrap at 4 ft. long. Then cut the 4 1/4″ width into thirds (which would be seven gems wide.) Now you have three lengths that are approx. 1 7/16″ x 4 ft. long.
  3. Before gluing, practice wrapping the first Diamond Wrap length around the Foam Ring with several wraps to determine the angle and amount of overlap needed. Note that the overlap will be minimal on the outside of the ring but considerable on the inside of the ring. Keep the length tight. Get comfortable with wrapping so that there are no bumps. (Diamond Wrap is wonderfully bendable and it will stretch and scrunch as needed to fit.)
  4. Glue the end of the Diamond Wrap at the right angle to the back of the Foam Ring and tightly wrap until that length is used. Glue that end to the back of the ring, trimming as needed. Start the second length right next to the first, glued in place. Continue wrapping the second and then the third lengths and glue on back to hold.
  5. Drain the water from the Water Beads and fill the glass bowl about half full. Set the Diamond Wrapped Foam Ring on the table and put the bowl of Water Beads onto it, tipped forward, at an angle. Trim the stems to about 2″ long on the flowers and place them into the Water Beads.
  6. Make a multi-loop bow with the ribbon and set (or glue) it onto the Ring, at the base of the bowl.
