FC-1982 GourdWreath2T (002)FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam
Ring: 12″ diameter, white beveled
Design It:® Spanish Moss

Other Materials:
Design Master® ColorTool® spray color, Basil
Artificial gourds, fall colors, one 3″ diameter round, one 4″ long and four 3″ long
Fall leaves, assorted shapes, nine ranging from 3″ – 4″,
Fall picks, three with sprigs of brownish-green foliage

Glue gun & glue sticks
Old newspapers
Large cardboard box (for spraying)
Large paper clip

  1. In a well-ventilated, newspaper-covered area (inside box) spray front and sides with two coats Basil and let dry.
  2. To cover foam ring, pull lengths of Spanish Moss from bag and work with it to flatten it into a piece that can be attached on the inside edge of the ring. Apply glue to foam and set moss into it. (Wait to press until glue has cooled a bit.) Then work with moss to push it into place to evenly cover that area. Continue until inner edge of ring is covered.
  3. Similarly, cover outside edge of ring with moss. Then, cover front, using your fingers to interweave moss where it meets both inner edge and outer edge moss, so that it all blends well together.
  4. Position and glue large, round gourd to bottom front. Glue other gourds all around it, nestling them into moss and each other.
  5. Insert and glue leaves around bottom of gourds, varying size and type of leaf.
  6. Insert and glue picks or sprigs of foliage among gourds and leaves.
  7. For hanger, slightly separate ends of large paper clip, approx. 1/4″. At center of top back of ring, insert shorter end of paper clip into foam, creating hanger loop with longer end. Hot glue to secure.
