Foam Hearts, three 6″ OR one Block, 15/16″ x 11 15/16″ x 17 15/16″
Block, 1 15/16″ x 3 7/8″ x 11 7/8″

Other Materials:
Design Master® ColorTool® Spray Color: Spring Green
Paper straws, four green stripe and two green chevron
Party décor net flowers, four, 3 1/2″ diameter, green (from color assortment pkg.)
5/8″ wide x 1 yd long, green chevron print
3/8″ wide x 2 yd. long, green and white stripe
Toothpicks, four
Optional: (if cutting hearts from block)
Copy paper
Serrated knife
Glue gun and glue sticks
Cardboard box, large
Old newspapers
Cake pops* (on sticks) six green
* (Note: If you want to include more cake pops, add to back and sides of display – also increase number of straws.)

  1. Either use three 6″ FloraCraft® foam hearts OR cut three hearts from foam block as follows: Fold copy paper in half and use pencil to sketch half of a 6″ heart. Cut out with scissors. Use as pattern to trace three times (in pencil) on 15/16″ thick foam block. Cut out foam using serrated knife, keeping knife perpendicular to foam so that edges are straight. If needed, smooth edges by sanding with scrap of foam block.
  2. In a well-ventilated, newspaper-covered area (cardboard box) lightly spray green on all sides of three foam hearts and 1 15/16″ thick foam block. Apply second coat and then let them completely dry.
  3. Arrange hearts on their edges and connected as shown in photo. Use toothpicks between the contact points to hold. Set hearts on middle of block and used toothpicks between contact points. When satisfied, separate foam from toothpicks just enough to apply hot glue and push back into place, holding momentarily, until secure.
  4. Insert one chevron straw straight down into center front of block, going in about an inch. One inch to the right and to the left, insert striped straw, angled out. Use scissors to cut last chevron straw in half and insert the halves, one inch to the right and left of the striped straws, at more of an angle.
  5. On back, insert one stripe straw into middle of foam block, back of top heart. Since straw isn’t tall enough for cake pop to show, cut a piece from the remaining striped straw (about 5″) to extend the straw to be a bit above the top of the heart. Then apply a little glue just to the edge of the bottom straw to connect them.
  6. Starting on one back corner of the base foam block, use dot of hot glue to attach chevron ribbon to middle of the block edge. Wrap ribbon around block, dotting with hot glue at each corner. Make sure that it’s tight and straight. At the end, trim ribbons to just meet. Similarly, wrap and glue 1 yd. of striped ribbon around top and 1 yd. around bottom of chevron ribbon.
  7. Randomly glue accent flowers to the arrangement and insert a cake pop into each straw.
