FloraCraft® Foam:
Sheet: 8″ x 8″ x 1.5″

Other Materials:
Fabric Squares: Coordinating colors/patterns
Quilt Batting
1.5″ Ribbon

Make It: Fun® Foam Tools
Low-temp Glue Gun
Straight Pins

  1. Lay the quilt square pattern on the foam sheet and pin in place.  Use the “scribe” tool, from the tool set, to gently trace the pattern, pressing just hared enought to indent the pattern into the foam through the paper.  Now use the “tuck” tool to make a 1/8″ deep channel in the foam, following the same pattern you made with the scribe.  This will give you a nice channel to tuck the fabric into.
  2. Using the same printed quilt square pattern, cut batting pieces to be about 1/4″ smaller than each section of the pattern.  Glue the batting pieces in place on the foam using the low-temp glue gun.
  3. Cut fabric pieces about 1″ larger than the quilt square pattern.  This will give you enough fabric to tuck into the foam to make your design.
  4. Starting with the outside blocks lay the first piece of fabric over the coordinating section on the foam sheet.  Begin tucking the fabric into the groove that you made in step 1 using the “tuck” tool.  Wrap the fabric around the outside edge of the foam square and glue to the side of the sheet making sure the fabric lays flat against the side.  Finish by tucking in the center square piece.
  5. Cut a piece of ribbon to cover the outside edge of the foam square and glue in place.
  6. Make a loop using the same ribbon to create a hanger for your wall art and glue or pin in place on the back.
