FloraCraft® Brand Products:
Design It:® Foam Cone, 3.8″ x 8.8″, green
Design It:® SimpleStyle®:
Decorative Mesh, 6″ wide:
∙ 3 1/2 yds., Purple
∙ 1 yd., Cobalt Blue
Wire Cutter
Floral Shears
Floral Pins
Floral Picks

Four Boxwood bushes (greenery)
Large paper clip
Glue gun and glue sticks

  1. Use Floral Shears to cut 1 yd. length Cobalt Blue Decorative Mesh. Fold Mesh into thirds, widthwise, to create three layers. To cover Foam Cone, lay Cone onto Mesh. Use Floral Pin to secure Mesh and roll Cone to tightly wrap. (Note: There will be excess Mesh at top and bottom of Cone.) Adjust as needed to be tight and secure with Pin. At top, fold excess Mesh onto top of Cone and secure with Pins as needed. At bottom, fold excess Mesh toward back of Cone and secure with hot glue and Pins.
  2. Cut one 1yd. 24″ length Purple Mesh. Fold in half, lengthwise and tightly twist, holding to maintain twist. (An assistant would be helpful.) Starting in middle of twisted Mesh, place it at bottom back of cone. Bring ends around to front and cross one over the other, maintaining tightness without losing the twist. Insert Pin in back to hold. Wrap ends around to back, cross and return to front, inserting Pin into crossed area on back to hold. For the third time, cross at front, then go to back and secure with both hot glue and Pins.
  3. For top ruffle, cut 1 yd. Purple Mesh. Fold in half lengthwise. Starting at top of Cone front, with middle of length, use Pin to secure Mesh. Pinch and “bunch” Mesh to make a “puff” and insert another Pin. Continue pinching and bunching both Mesh ends, going all around cone, ending at top back. Repeat with other end of Mesh, ending at top back.
  4. Use Wire Cutter to cut apart one Boxwood bush, creating approximately 8″ length stems. Insert stems into top of Cone, going through Mesh. Continue cutting apart bushes and inserting stems until almost full. (Note: back of arrangement should be flat, since it will be against a wall.)
  5. For tufts in among greenery, cut three 10″ lengths Purple Mesh. Trim binding off both edges of each one. For first tuft, fold one length in half lengthwise. Then fold in half widthwise, twice, so that raw ends are at top. Attach and bind bottom to a Floral Pick. Cut ends into 1″ wide strips to tuft more. Repeat with other two lengths to make two more tufts and insert into arrangement.
  6. To hang Mesh Cone, insert large paper clip into upper back of Cone, allowing end of clip to extend out for hanger loop. Secure with hot glue.
