Materials:

  • FloraCraft® STYROFOAM™ Brand Products:
  • 1 STYROFOAM™ Block, 4 7/8″ x 4 7/8″ x 4 7/8″, white
  • 1 STYROFOAM™ Sheet, 8″ x 8″ x1″, white
  • 5 Coordinating red, white and green scrapbook papers, 12″ x 12″ sheets
  • White mat board, 6″ square for base of house
  • 1 Box assorted candy dots
  • Red and green baking candy dots
  • 2 Candy canes
  • 1 Wrapped candy
  • Glue stick (Elmer’s® Craft Bond™)
  • Glue lines (Glue Dots International)
  • 3 Round toothpicks
  • Miscellaneous:  Pencil, ruler, scissors
Instructions:
  1. To make peaks of house, cut a 5″ square from a STYROFOAM™ sheet. Cut square into two triangles by cutting from point to opposite point of square. Break toothpicks in half. Insert three half-toothpicks into long edge of one triangle peak. Use glue stick to glue peak to front and back top of STYROFOAM™ block. Repeat with other triangle peak.
  2. Plan placement of papers on house. Measure, cut and attach various scrapbook papers with glue stick to sides, front and back of house. Cut paper for roof measuring 7″ x 10 1/2″. Fold paper in half and glue to peaks for top of roof.
  3. Cut 2 1/2″ x 4″ piece from scrapbook paper for door. Attach with glue stick and decorate by attaching candy pieces, candy canes and wrapped candy with glue lines. Similarly, cut two 3″ scrapbook paper squares for windows. Attach with glue stick around edges and panes. Use glue lines to attach candy to sides of windows.
  4. Measure, cut and glue paper to base of house with glue stick. Also use glue stick to attach house to base. Use glue lines to attach candy around base of house.
