Cupcake Pin Cushion

Materials
STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam:
+Three – 3″ balls, white
3 1/4″ diameter x 1 7/8″ tall white porcelain cupcake holder
1/4 yd of multi colored orange fabric
3-1/2″ square felt (to match fabric)
Needle and thread
Buttons: 5/8″ orange, 3/4″ green, 1″ blue
9 white E Beads
3 pieces of 5″ length white craft thread
Elmer’s® Craft Bond™ Tacky Glue*
Scissors

Instructions

1. Measure and cut a 9″ circle from fabric. Using needle and thread, stitch a running stitch approx. 1/4″ from raw edge of circle. Wrap fabric around Styrofoam™ ball and pull thread ends to gather. Distribute gathers evenly around ball and knot threads.
2. Glue cupcake into holder.
3. For cupcake frosting, cut orange felt according to pattern. Using needle and thread, randomly space and sew on E beads to felt. Glue and attach felt frosting to top center of ball, allowing ends of frosting to extend out.
4. Stack buttons in order from largest to smallest, thread craft thread pieces through buttons, knot and trim ends. Glue buttons to center of frosting.
5. Insert pins into top of pin cushion.
