Instructions:

  1. Use Foam Cutter and ruler to cut from two sheets of white Foam: two 5″ x 7″ (sides); two 4″x 7″ (front/back) and one 4″ x 4″ (base).
  2. Use craft knife and ruler to cut from cork sheeting the same size pieces as was cut for Foam in Step 1.
  3. Apply generous amount of glue stick to each Foam piece and attach each corresponding cork sheeting piece. Turn over onto table and gently weight down with books to dry.
  4. Check to see how front, back and sides will fit together (with cork sides out) on the base (with cork side down.) Note that sides overlap the edges of the front and back panels and that all overlap the edges of the base.
Break in half a toothpick and insert in a couple of places along the edge of the base. Apply glue gun glue and connect that edge with the front panel. Repeat with the back panel on the opposite side. Then insert toothpick halves in the edges of the back, front and bottom panel. Work quickly to apply glue to those three areas and quickly attach one of the sides. Repeat with the other side.
  5. Cut four 4 1/4″ lengths of twill measuring tape ribbon and glue it (with glue gun) across the top and bottom edges of the front and back panels. Cut two 25″ lengths of twill ribbon. Starting on the bottom with one length, wrap and glue as you go, around the edge of one side panel, ending back where you started. Trim to fit. Repeat with other length on other side.
  6. Glue Desert Foam® into planter. Insert both foliage bushes into center of Desert Foam®. Intermix the bush branches.
  7. Cut photos and attach to planter using pins.
