Instructions

  1. Cut out a 3.5” diameter circle from the poster board. Pin the circle template to the disc
slightly off center as shown. Following the StyroCutter Plus instructions carefully cut the
circle from the disc. Pierce the blade through the disc at the edge of the template. Glide
the blade along the edge of the template to keep a clean even cut. Be sure to hold the blade
at a 90 degree angle to the front of the disc to keep the inside edge of the circle straight.
  2. Gather the end of the burlap garland and glue it to the back of the disc. Use the floral pins to
help hold the burlap in place. Keep the burlap slightly gathered together and begin wrapping
it around the edges of the frame. Loop it through the center and around the outer edge overlapping
each wrap slightly as you go. Cover completely.
  3. Glue the end of the yarn to the back of the frame and begin wrapping to cover two small
sections of the frame as shown. Glue the end of the yarn again at the back of the frame
    where you stop.
  4. Glue sections of jute to the frame just as you did the yarn. Add jute to each side of the yarn
    sections as shown.
  5. To create the flower, start by twisting the burlap into a loose rope-like cord then coil the
burlap cord into a spiral. Add dots of glue as you go to help hold the flower together as
you coil. Glue the end of the coil to the back of the flower to secure. Optional: Paint the
coils of the burlap flower using acrylic paint. Paint a stripe of color onto the frame if
desired to coordinate with the flower. Glue the flower to the frame. Glue buttons to the
    center of the flower.
  6. Arrange and glue buttons to the frame around the burlap flower as desired.
  7. Using straight pins, pin your photo or inspirational saying to the back of the disc, lining it
up to show through the hole
